- Arbitrage
- Placing bets on all possible outcomes with different bookmakers to guarantee a profit.
- Asian Handicap
- Spread betting that eliminates the draw option and gives a head start or deficit to each team.
- Back
- To bet for an outcome to happen, typical when placing a standard wager.
- Bankroll
- The total amount of money you have set aside for betting.
- Bet Builder
- Feature that lets you combine multiple markets from a single event into one wager.
- Cash Out
- Feature allowing you to settle a bet before the event ends, locking in a profit or loss.
- Cashback
- Promotion that returns a percentage of your net losses over a set period.
- Free Bet
- Token credited by the bookmaker that can be used to place a bet without using your own funds.
- In-play Betting
- Wagering on a match after it has started, with odds that update as the game progresses.
- Juice
- The commission or fee that a bookmaker adds to the odds, also called vigorish.
- Kelly Criterion
- A formula used to determine the optimal size of a bet based on your edge and bankroll.
- Lay
- To bet against an outcome happening, typical on a betting exchange.
- Matched Betting
- Using free bets and promotions to create a risk-free profit by covering all outcomes.
- Odds
- The price of a bet expressed as a number, indicating the implied probability and potential payout.
- Parlay
- Single bet that links two or more selections; all must win for the bet to pay out.
- Price Boost
- A promotion that increases the odds on a specific selection.
- Provably Fair
- System that lets players verify that each game result is random and not manipulated.
- Responsible Gambling
- Practices and tools to help players stay in control and avoid harmful betting behavior.
- RTP
- Return to Player, percentage of total wagered money a game pays back to players over time.
- Spread
- The predicted point difference between two teams set by the bookmaker.
- Stake
- The amount of money you put on a bet.
- Unit
- A standardized amount used to measure the size of bets, often a fraction of your bankroll.
- Value Bet

- Volatility
